The tension continuously rises in The Code Episode 11 with the new information Abe (Luke Mitchell), and Harper (Phillipa Soo) learned about a Marine's death. A lot is about to come to Abe as he also receives a warning over testifying against the Corps.
"Abe and Harper's investigation into a Marine's accidental overdose takes a turn when they begin to believe he was murdered," "Don and Doff" official synopsis read. "Abe receives a warning about testifying in a lawsuit against the Corps; Maya [Anna Wood] is concerned about her brother."
With the warning Abe receives, there is a big question if he will continue testifying against the Corps in The Code Episode 11. Abe's future has been in jeopardy for too long, but this issue may be the greatest peril of them all.
According to CarterMatt, the Corps doesn't like the idea of being called out, although there is a need for it. Hence, with what Abe is planning to do, it will surely put him in danger.
The Code Episode 11 may also feature a big exposé with the mysterious alleged accidental death that turns out to be a murder. The Marine's demise is said to be an overdose, but with its missing fingerprints, it looks a foul play happened here.
The next installment is the penultimate episode of the series; thus, it paves the way to the season finale. "Don and Doff" set the stage for an explosive ending as the tension rises and the cases are at stake.
However, CBS has yet to renew the series for Season 2, but there are strong assumptions the cops' story will continue. But if this will be the end, it may be fitting to give these characters a proper conclusion and tie all the loose ends.
TV Insider reported that The Code's future might be numbered due to its low ratings when it returned. The show has been on a hiatus for a month, and when it came back, it got the lowest low numbers.
The show's return posed 3.9million viewers, which is down from the usual 4.61 million fans who watched the last new episode on June 3. As Season 2 remains on the horizon, its future remains in question.
So, fans should see The Code Episode 11, "Don and Doff," when it comes out on Monday, July 15, to see if it will be the end of the fan-favorite cops. Its season finale, "Legit Bad Day," is due for release on July 22.
