According to a report by All Kpop, BLACKPINK's Jennie posted several snaps of her new look on her personal Instagram page. Instead of going for the normal black eyeliner, the K-pop star opted for white eyeliner to highlight her eyes and it looked amazing on her.
BLINKs, BLACKPINK's official fandom were quick to post their reactions on Twitter, and within a few short hours, Jennie's white eyeliner became a top trending topic in Korea. Because of BLACKPINK's wide fanbase, Chinese fans also catapulted Jennie's white eyeliner to the top trending topic on the social media platform.
Fans of BLACKPINK are no stranger to trending topics involving the members. When Jisoo made an 11-second appearance in tVn's Arthdal Chronicles, #JisooOn ArthdalChronicles also became a global trending topic, prompting the BLACKPINK member to share behind the scenes photos as she prepared for her role. BLACKPINK's Lisa also trended on Twitter as fans celebrated her birthday last May as fans tweeted well wishes for the Thai rapper.
Because of BLACKPINK's international fanbase, Samsung is tapping into Jennie. Lisa, Jisoo and Rose's popularity by launching a special BLACKPINK edition of Samsung Galaxy A80 in Bangkok which will soon be available in other parts of Southeast Asia like the Philippines. This comes after the success of the BLACKPINK edition of Samsung Galaxy A70 released earlier this year.
The Samsung Galaxy BLACKPINK edition is packaged in BLACKPINK's signature colors and comes with a charging stand, signed photocards, and a special case that changes the themes and icons of the phone to everything BLACKPINK. This is something that BLINKs must include in their collection, reported GadgetMatch.
BLACKPINK is set to return to their Your Area World Tour to perform for three nights of sold-out concerts at the Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok from July 12-14. The concert was originally slated for two nights, but because of the high demand, organizers opened up a third night of the concert which also quickly sold out.
BLACKPINK recently concluded concerts in North America, some of which entered the Billboard list of highest selling concerts of the year. They also performed for sold-out crowds in Europe and Australia before they concentrate with neighboring countries of Asia.
