As the premiere episode shows a new cook on the streets competes with Franklin (Damson Idris), the latter will create a new model for his business in the second episode. Although the third season only begins, a lot is about to happen, teasing an intense turn of events the whole season.
"Faced with mounting problems on the street, Franklin pivots his business model; Andre [Marcus Henderson] investigates a murder connected to Franklin's family," Snowfall Season 3 Episode 2 official synopsis read. "Teddy [Carter Hudson] uses Gustavo [Sergio Peris-Mencheta] to help broker a new deal in Mexico, then receives a surprise visitor upon returning home."
Franklin is no longer a drug dealer, but a big shot businessman in the new season. But, a bigger role comes with more significant consequences and risks.
Snowfall Season 3 starts with an all-out war, and Franklin will be in the middle of it. From a crappy street dealer to becoming a head of a crack empire in Los Angeles, Franklin is now a powerful and influential businessman that Teddy (Carter Hudson) released from prison.
The United States government and the police are desperate to put a stop to worsening crack epidemic. So, Franklin will do everything in Snowfall Season 3 Episode 2 to protect his crew and family from those people in power and the rival gangs, per Decider.
He is also doing everything to keep the business going, to the point that he makes it a family affair with his mother. With the success of the crack empire in Los Angeles, Franklin may become even more successful and powerful.
Snowfall Season 3 may be the best season for Franklin so far, but it can also be the worst. Here, he can go forward with his business, which may get so big and explode outward at the same time, per CarterMatt.
The responsibility and threat he now has are way too different from the things he experienced before. If he fails, it can cost him his life or someone close to him.
Franklin is no underdog anymore, so there is no going back to the way he used to be. He is now in a new world that everyone has to accept. Snowfall Season 3 Episode 2, "The More You Make," will be out on Wednesday, July 17, on FX.
