Sacred Games Season 2 is about to hit Netflix this year, so the streaming giant unveils its first official trailer, giving fans a glimpse of what is about to come. Netflix India announced the new season's release on Instagram, along with a hint that Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is still alive.
Netflix India first shared Sacred Games Season 2 official trailer on Instagram. "Bole toh GAME OVER #SacredGames2," the caption read. It was then followed by a screenshot of fans' comments, demanding the second season's release.
"Kindly put your tabuts and chattris away," the account noted. It then revealed the official poster of Sacred Games Season 2, showing how lit the new installment would be, along with its release date.

On Aug. 15, fans will finally see Inspector Sartaj Singh's (Saif Ali Khan) return to the small screen. And here, he will finally learn that Gaitonde is still alive.
According to Vogue India, Season 1 had established that Gaitonde was already dead. Hence, Singh was left cracking down clues to save Mumbai from an unknown but evil threat.
But in Sacred Games Season 2 trailer, Gaitonde is still alive and has been in hiding for over 16 years. The trailer also reveals the reason behind the attack, which also hits Hiroshima and Nagasaki - a nuclear blast. Gaitonde left Mumbai to set up his crime business in another country, which may be in South Africa after reports revealed the show filmed some scenes in Johannesburg.
In the trailer, Khanna Guru Ji (Pankaj Tripathi) can be seen getting involved in big fights, while Singh is still doing his best to solve the architect's riddles to save the city. Everything begins with Bunty (Jatin Sarna) and Kanta Bai (Shalini Vatsa) as they received a call from Gaitonde.
From here, intense turn of events happened as Gatonde seemed to rise like a star under Guruji's guidance. The scene was then cut to the present, showing a scarred Singh's trying to solve the mystery surrounding the bunker he saw from Season 1, which might store the nuclear bombs that might explode in a few days.
However, his investigation might lead him to Guruji, where he might get drugged to keep him from ruining their plan to restructure India. From the looks of it, fans are about to see more of Guruji in Sacred Games Season 2.
Fans will also new faces in the new season with Ranvir Shorey as Shahid Khan and Kalki Koechlin as Batya Abelman. Also, they will learn the mysterious connection of Singh and Gaitonde in Sacred Games Season 2 when it comes out on Netflix on Aug. 15.
