Animal Kingdom season 4 episode 8 is arriving next week, and things will be different from here, as Smurf is missing and this would be the right opportunity for J to be the team leader. Since Smurf is out of town, the Cody family prepared for their next gig - which is the rock concert.
In the synopsis of Animal Kingdom season 4 episode 8, titled, "Ambo," the Codys are up for their next big job even though Smurf is nowhere to be found. All eyes are on J since he takes on the leadership position, which will be his big breakthrough as a team leader as well.
While Smurf helped with the early planning, this event would be a great opportunity for J to show his leadership skills. He is the one who brought this to his family's attention, thanks to his alter ego, Josh. Also, he has resources and contacts that make everything possible.
However, this is a risky job, largely because they'll be operating backstage in the middle of a rock concert. They cannot wander around wearing masks, as many people would notice them. They need to blend in and make it look they belong to the crowd while navigating waters in secrets.
The whole crew might ruin everything they were trying to execute with one wrong move, so they need to be careful. Perhaps, the key here is discretion since this is the most important thing that would keep them from getting arrested.
In another part of Animal Kingdom season 4 episode 8, it looks like Deran is convincing Adrian to come back home and live with him again. However, this comes with advantages, as well as risks. But as long as Pope has no knowledge about Adrian talking to the police, then they could move forward - at least for now.
Speaking of Pope, his relationship with Angela seems to be getting closer than ever. That doesn't change the fact she that may likely have an endgame of her own. If Angela wants to rob the family, then this episode might be her opportunity to do that. No one is watching the house since Smurf is nowhere to be found, and the Pope is out on the job. This could be the real test to see what's her real motive.
