After taking a few weeks to recharge, BLACKPINK members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose are all set to take the stage for their three-night sold-out concert at the Impact Arena in Bangkok from July 12-14. Fans will have plenty to look forward to because Thailand is BLACKPINK's Lisa Manoban's home turf, after all.
The strong support from BLINKs in Thailand comes as no surprise. BLACKPINK's Your Area World Tour was only originally slated for two nights on July 12-13, but tickets quickly sold out. This prompted YG Entertainment and local organizers of the concert to open up another night for the concert on July 14 and the date also sold out in lightning speed. This is a pretty big deal because Impact Arena is one of Bangkok's biggest venues with an 11,000 seating capacity.
BLACKPINK has kept their setlist pretty standard for their Your Area World Tour but also kept their audience's preference in adjusting the flow of their concert. If Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose follow the setlists for the previous legs of their concert tour, it is expected that they will come out strong with a performance of their megahit DDU-DU DDU-DU to kick off the show.
Expected to follow are performances of Forever Young, Stay, Whistle and a medley of Coming Home / Let It Be / You & I / Only Look At Me. After this set, members are expected to take the stage with individual performances.
Lisa usually kicks things off with a Take Me / Swalla mirrored dance number, but because they are performing in Thailand, she might add a local flavor for her fans in Bangkok. Rose showcases her strong vocals and flawless English in her rendition of Clarity. Jennie will take the stage next with her first solo number, Solo. Jisoo is expected to round up the solo stage with a rendition of Don't Know What To Do.
BLACKPINK is expected to heat the stage with their Billboard chart-topper Kill This Love when they return as a group. They will also perform their Spotify record-breaking collaboration with Dua Lipa Kiss and Make Up. Of course, they won't leave behind their other hits Really, See U Later, Playing with Fire, Kick It, BOOMBAYAH and As If It's Your Last.
A remix version of DDU-DU DDU-DU, Hope Not and Stay are expected to cap off the concert for Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose's encore performances. Too bad Samsung Galaxy A80 BLACKPINK edition which will roll out in Thailand ahead of other Asian countries had not yet been released at the time of the concert. BLINKs would not miss a chance to brandish their new limited edition devices along with their light sticks for the event.
