Crimson Light lands into huge trouble on Final Space season 2 episode 4. Airing on Monday, July 15, at 11:30 p.m. on TBS and Adult Swim, the group encounters another challenging predicament that puts them in big jeopardy.
According to the episode synopsis on TV Guide for Final Space season 2 episode 4, half of Crimson Light will be separated and trapped in a different dimension. An accident in the space-time continuum has led to this problem.
Final Space might not be as popular as other cartoons on the TBS or the Adult Swim block of Cartoon Network. When it premiered the first season in February 2018, it took a while for the show to get a following.
But its second season is finally picking up with viewers. According to Comic Book, the show may very well be the best-animated series that viewers are not watching.
Final Space features the adventures of an astronaut named Gary Goodspeed (voiced by Olan Rogers) who isn't the best one in the galaxy. On the final days of his sentence as a Galaxy One prisoner, Goodspeed encounters an alien named Mooncake who has special powers and thus is wanted by the Lord Commander.
However, in evading capture, Mooncake convinces Goodspeed that they must find the mysteries behind the final space as it holds the key to uniting the universe in Final Space. Together with H.U.E., an AI for their spaceship, Goodspeed and Mooncake go on their quest and meet new characters, including enemies, along the way.
Tonally, the humor of Final Space is quite on the dark side, and its characters may also dish on some toilet trash that other people find amusing. As far as its animation is concerned, Final Space makes use of a mix of 2D and 3D graphics.
Rogers developed Final Space in mid-2010 and uploaded a clip of the series, then known as Gary Space, on his YouTube channel. For the next few years, Rogers would then pitch the show to Cartoon Network and prepare its redevelopment as Final Space.
"In Season 1, Gary was essentially the crazy one, and everybody else was kind of like the straight guy, and it just wasn't working," Rogers revealed in an interview with IGN. "This season we were like, 'okay we need to have crazier people than Gary on the ship. The moment you have people that are crazier than your craziest character, it makes him more chill and more subdued and more of a normal person."
Incidentally, Final Space's other voice characters are some of the big names in the entertainment industry. They are David Tennant, Fred Armisen, Ron Perlman, Alan Tudyk, Tom Kenny, Tika Sumpter, Andy Richter, Conan O'Brien, Shannon Purser, Keith David, Steven Yeun, John DiMaggio and Caleb McLaughlin.
