Love Island season 5 did not show Anton Danyluk in some of the episodes this week. The popular Scottish hunk was notably missing from the show, and his absence was greatly felt in the Villa.

According to Newsweek, Anton left the Villa, but it wasn't because he was booted out of Love Island season 5. The 26-year-old was forced out because he had a mysterious illness.

"After feeling unwell during the day, Anton spent the night away from the villa and is subsequently missing from tonight's episode," a spokesperson for ITV confirmed. "He has since returned to the villa."

However, Anton still hasn't made his appearance on the show the next night given the delays in editing. But will the time away from the Villa give Anton the chance to reboot his strategy?

Anton has been in Love Island season 5 since the very first day, but he hasn't had any luck finding a girl to be steady with. Most of the women don't see him as a romantic partner, but they have good friendships with Anton.

However, the addition of Belle in Love Island season 5 might change things for Anton as they seem to be forming a bond. Although, at the moment, Belle is upset with Anton for the way he lapped up to another girl in a challenge, per Cosmopolitan. She felt that he embarrassed her.

Meanwhile, Love Island season 5 fans were thrilled after Amber Gill decided to dump Michael Griffiths in favor of Greg O'Shea. Viewers of the show haven't been rooting for Michael ever since he dumped Amber a couple of weeks back for another girl.

Now that Amber got her payback in Thursday's episode of Love Island season 5, viewers are cheering her on. She listened to Ovie Soko, who told her that Michael would shatter her if she chose to stay with him.

As for where it stands on Love Island season 5 day 46, the partners are Amber and Greg, Anna and Jordan, Anton and Belle, Chris and Harley, Curtis and Maura, Francesca and Michael, and finally, India and Ovie. However, the Amber and Michael saga isn't truly over. Amber said later in the game that if she would be forced, she might still pick Michael over any guy in Love Island season 5.
