Another one could bite the dust on Claws season 3 episode 9, which airs on Sunday, Aug. 4, at 9:00 p.m. on TNT. Viewers might see the last of Melba Lovestone (played by Rebecca Creskoff) if the episode title is any indication.

Claws season 3 episode 9 is called "Melba Toast" and going by what happened last week; this could mean that this character is the next one gone. After the death of Mac (played by Michael Horse), the triad has no good reason to keep his wife around. The triad will also likely see her as a distraction, or she's going to be distracted by recent events.

Thus, eliminating Melba could be what's coming next. But who will do it? Will Desna (played by Niecy Nash) pull the trigger or will someone else do it for the triad?

The episode synopsis for Claws season 3 episode 9 suggests that Desna and her girls will have to "tie up loose ends" to survive this. In the teaser preview, she's preaching to her girls about taking some responsibility for the mess they have got themselves into.

Desna is worn out from dealing with the triad. Claws season 3 episode 9 is the penultimate episode, and things are coming to a boil.

The teaser also revealed that someone has dug up Clint's body in Claws season 3 episode 9.  There's a good chance that the person behind this is Toby (played by Evan Daigle), who is feeling guilty about Clint. However, Toby's action could put the entire group in jeopardy. Who's gonna fix this mess?

Meanwhile, a renewal from TNT remains in the bubble with two more episodes left to air before Claws season 3 ends. According to TV Series Finale, the current season has an average viewership of 0.29 in its target demographic or roughly 819,000 viewers a week. Its ratings have gone down by 37 percent, which could threaten its renewal chances. However, loyal viewers have said that the writing of Claws season 3 has greatly improved and this is the best season of the series.

Claws is set in South Florida and follow a group of working-class manicurists who end up becoming criminal operatives because of the lure of money. Created by Eliot Laurence with showrunner Janine Sherman Barrois, the series has been dubbed as the poor man's Big Little Lies.

"Oftentimes, you see heroines of stories are women in their 20s or early 30s, but you don't see women who are in their 40s, women who work in the strip mall that you pass by every day," Barrios said, per Los Angeles Times

Claws also stars Carrie Preston (as Polly), Karrueche Tran (as Virginia), Judy Reyes (as Quiet Ann) and Jenn Lyon (as Jennifer). The series airs every summer on Sunday evening at TNT.
