Claws is set in South Florida and follow a group of working-class manicurists who end up becoming criminal operatives because of the lure of money. Created by Eliot Laurence with showrunner Janine Sherman Barrois, the series has been dubbed as the poor man's Big Little Lies.
"Oftentimes, you see heroines of stories are women in their 20s or early 30s, but you don't see women who are in their 40s, women who work in the strip mall that you pass by every day," Barrios said, per Los Angeles Times.
Claws also stars Carrie Preston (as Polly), Karrueche Tran (as Virginia), Judy Reyes (as Quiet Ann) and Jenn Lyon (as Jennifer). The series airs every summer on Sunday evening at TNT.
