The heroes instantly became famous when they managed to defeat Neron (Christian Keyes) that might change their lives forever. Now that their status quo has transformed, Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 will feature a great mockumentary as everything will rather be humorous.
Executive producer Grainne Godfree revealed the much-loved heroes would be dealing with their newfound fame in the new season. "If we become popular, are we going to lose our mojo?" he told Entertainment Weekly.
It is their first time to experience such fame, and they all love it. However, Sara (Caity Lotz) seems to be a little suspicious of their new status. So in Legends of Tomorrow Season 5, fans are about to see how fame will affect these people that will be tempting the Legends that are still vulnerable.
"Even though they sort of get over themselves after [the first episode] I think you could always be tempted by the promise of getting to be a singular franchise-driving superhero," executive producer Phil Klemmer explained. However, aside from fame, there are also other issues that the heroes have to face.
They will be dealing with the older version of Astra Logue (Olivia Swann), who will be Legends of Tomorrow Season 5's new big bad. To recall, in the previous season, Astra brought the chips that contained the souls of the most famous evil people, like Genghis Khan and Charles Manson, and cast them out of hell.
Klemmer told ComicBook everyone is welcome on the Waverider as it is a place where people can find second chances. But in Legends of Tomorrow Season 5, they will be dealing with some of "historical pieces" that don't deserve a second chance, which the Legends will find hard to realize.
Klemmer and showrunner Keto Shimizu then said the people Astra unleashed would come up with "a fun horrible person" in Legends of Tomorrow Season 5. It would be like the version of Rasputin they featured in the mockumentary-style season opener, per TVLine.
Meanwhile, fans are about to see Brandon Routh once again, donning a red cape and blue suit as Superman for the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Although the 39-year-old actor has yet to reveal which Man of Steel suit he will be wearing, he teased his character's "tone and energy" would be similar to what he has done in the past.
To recall, Routh played the Superman role in Superman Returns in 2006. Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 will return at midseason on The CW.
