There is much excitement over the Loki TV series that will bring back Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief. After all, several fans have been hoping that they haven't seen the last of Loki after he was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Not surprisingly, Marvel Studios and Disney are already aiming to get started on the show as soon as possible. Hiddleston confirmed that his new series would begin production soon.

Tom Hiddleston's new show was one of the projects that were highlighted at the Marvel Studios Hall H panel at 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. The Kong: Skull Island star also made an appearance on stage along with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who confirmed that the Loki TV series would follow the God of Mischief after he escaped in Avengers: Endgame. This means that the show will not serve as an origin story. Instead, Hiddleston will portray a Loki who is determined to find his destiny after the Battle of New York.

Interestingly, the Loki series will find the God of Mischief traveling through time with a strange mission. According to several reports, the show will see Loki finding ways to affect key moments throughout history. Hopefully, this will mean that the series will feature guest appearances from some of the established Marvel Cinematic Universe stars. In addition to that, there is a possibility that Loki will be reunited with his brother Thor somewhere along the way.

But when can we expect to see the Loki TV series? It was confirmed at SDCC that the show would premiere on Disney+ by Spring 2021. However, Tom Hiddleston has already revealed that he will begin working on his new MCU project soon.

Tom Hiddleston recently confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the Loki show "will start at the top of next year." This means that production could begin as early as January 2020. The Crimson Peak actor also compared his character from his new Broadway play to his Marvel character.

"Robert in Betrayal is much more earthbound," Hiddleston said. "They're both very complex, but Robert is a publisher and a husband and a father. Loki is the god of mischief."

The Loki TV series will begin production in early 2020. The show is then scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in Spring 2021.
