According to the synopsis of MasterChef season 10 episode 16, the speed of the top 10 contestants will be tested as they'll have a special team challenge at the Irwindale Speedway, and they only have 75 minutes to cook for 101 race car crew members.
In the recently released video of the upcoming episode, it shows what's coming up for the remaining contestants as they were forced to head out to a NASCAR speedway. They will take part in a special team challenge, in which they have to look for several hungry "race fans."
The question here is: how can these contestants get random race fans to show in a cooking competition? Perhaps, the answer there is to make good food to bring everyone out. The focus within this episode is still simple - trying to see which among these teams could make a better cuisine.
For the past years, MasterChef had quite similar competitions, but the challenge in the new episode would be different. This time, the contestants will cook in a loud and stressful environment, which makes it a bit difficult for them, plus the time pressure they'd be facing.
Will some of the contestants be successful within this episode? That's very likely, but there'll surely be some disasters that go along with it. And as seen on the preview, it looks like Gordon Ramsey is pulling off his signature move, wherein he threw a piece of food as he believes it's undercooked.
Another problem in MasterChef season 10 episode 16 is the weather as the rain starts falling midway through the competition, causing even more problems to some contestants. Hopefully, the tents were properly put up so that everyone would still enjoy the challenge. This could also test how hungry race fans are - considering the bad weather.
The contestants could either go or stay despite the rain just to taste the food these contestants prepared. This particular challenger also involves a little bit of creativity and more of endurance, so the contestants need to impress Gordon in this such circumstance to show their determination, as well as a real passion for cooking.
