The Battle of The Sexes continues to increase the pressure among the Ink Master Season 12 artists. With the most recent elimination challenge of freehand tattoos specializing in composition skills, the record was straightened out. And currently, the season is now left with nine artists. Five of which are women and four for the men.

On August 6, the Drawing Alliances episode has shown the real battle among the top artists. And with Fon's elimination during the previous episode, it somehow shows how the competition has become so much more stressful for everyone.

The episode started with the Flash Challenge pitting the women against the men's team. The challenge focused on the team's composition skills by creating a 3D sculpture using "half a million" toothpicks.

While the men's team was able to impress the judges, the women's team's end-product has won the eyes and hearts of everyone. With its captivating simplicity and beauty, there is no doubt as to why they have won this week's flash challenge.

The Ink Master Season 12 further went on and continued with the week's elimination challenge. And although the artists were set to pit against each other, it seemingly appears that the women were still able to get the advantage of putting one male artist at the bottom spot.

As it happened, the challenge revolved around Freehand Tattoos. The Ink Master Season 12 artists were tasked to do freehand designs that were set to be directly tattooed on the client's skin as per Inked Mag. And in the end, all of them were able to obtain impressive remarks. However, a few of them still needs to make room for improvements.

Laura's and Dani's freehand tattoos got the top spot. But the judges weighed in all of the factors and hailed Laura's work as the best tattoo of the day. And this means that she has another day to live and fight for the title of Ink Master.

Sadly for the bottom three, they are already on the verge of losing the competition. These three artists include Alexis, Creepy Jason, and Ash. Although all of them has received negative remarks from the judges, Ash was sent home at the end.

According to Cartermatt, Ink Master Season 12 is undoubtedly becoming more "stressful." And it seems that Laura and Cam are the top artists of the competition. But while there are fan and judge-favorites already, the upcoming episodes and challenges will show who will be this season's winner regardless of the season's "favorites."

Ink Master Season 12 Episode 10 titled, By Accident or By Design, is set to air on August 13, on Paramount Network.
