The fans might wait a little longer for Good Trouble Season 2 to return. But fortunately, the series has received a green light from Freefrom for a two-hour holiday special episode.
On Tuesday, the network has announced that the hit series will be returning for a holiday special. While it may not continue where it last left off during the summer finale, Cartermatt asserts that the upcoming special episode will somehow look back at the precious moments that happened during the first part of the second season.
It is very likely that the series will tackle some of the dramas that happened earlier this year. And with Callie's moving out from the Coterie, she will surely return to spend the holidays in the community, along with Mariana and the rest of the crew. Also, there are thoughts about a "dance performance" that might happen during the specials.
According to People, the series creator, Joanna Johnson revealed that the holiday special episode would largely focus on how they will celebrate the Christmas season at the Coterie. As it happens, no one knows how they do it, and this is a perfect opportunity for the show to become so much more "immersive" and relatable.
After the announcement, a lot of fans are now asking if the rest of the Adams-Foster clan from its mother franchise series, The Fosters, will "pop by" at the Coterie during the special episode.
While no confirmations have been given, Joanna Johnson "played coy" and teased that Callie and Mariana will not spend the holidays alone. Accordingly, most of the fandom is now theorizing that Noah Centineo, Teri Polo, and Sherri Saum might appear on the upcoming special episode.
There are no actual dates or details that have been shared yet about the episode. For all the fans know, Good Trouble's special episode will certainly air during the winter season and probably a day close to the Christmas day.
As for the tenth installment to Good Trouble Season 2, little has been shared as to when it will return. Even so, many reports are considering for a 2020 release of the remaining episodes of the current run.
The same is true for the series' renewal. And it is highly likely that Freeform might announce its renewal decision toward Good Trouble Season 3 once the current season returns next year.
