Oh Dal-soo is attracting attention for his return to film making after one and a half years.

According to an exclusive report by OSEN on the 13th, Oh Dal-soo will make his return with independent short film "Yo-Shim" directed by Kim Sung-han. The film will be about what happens in prison.

Oh Dal-soo was embroiled in #MeToo controversy after a woman 'A' interviewed with JTBC's 'Newsroom' on a broadcast aired on February 26th, 2018 and accused Oh Dal-soo of sexual harassment. 'A' stated, "It wasn't just sexual harassment, he also sexually assaulted me."

'A' explained that "Oh Dal-soo, her senior in the theater industry, had asked her to talk while they were practicing for a play that they both took part in." She said, "At the time, he asked me if we could talk for a bit, so I followed him. It was the biggest mistake of my life. He took me to a motel where he sexually assaulted me. I didn't even have time to resist. I screamed but he didn't even bat an eyelid. He just had a calm expression. I blamed myself for going with him and I thought I was worthless." She also explained that she had shared previous sexual harassment by Oh Dal-soo online. Her initial accusations of sexual harassment had included a description of how "he had put his hand inside her shorts and groped her." However, people swore at her and this led to her erasing the comments because she got scared.

A few days later, another actress Uhm Ji Young also came forward alleging that she had been sexually assaulted by Oh Dal-Soo after he asked her "to go somewhere because he was a well-known figure and didn't want his face revealed in public." He told her "they should go to a motel because he was divorced and didn't have a home, so that's where he was staying." When they got to the motel, "he put asked her to wash up since it was hot and put his hands on her body to take her clothes off. She was able to run away and was able to avoid the incident from escalating further."

Oh Dal-soo initially denied all the reports saying "they were groundless and entirely untrue" and was planning on pursuing "legal action for defamation rumors." But he later admitted to the allegations in an official statement where he said, "I will not avoid the consequences of my actions and I'm sorry to those who have gotten hurt a second and third time because of me. I know it's hard now but I hope your wounds will heal."

CJ Entertainment released a statement earlier this year and confirmed that all charges against the actor have been dropped.

According to the actor, he took some time off due to his worsening health but is choosing to return to independent film because "he wants to do good meaningful work."
