Sean Spicer is an American political aide. He was the White House Press Secretary and Communications Director under President Donald Trump’s administration in 2017.
The 47-year-old has a lot of political experiences under his belt. Being the communications director of the Republican National Committee for six years and chief strategist for two years, it is quite evident that Sean Spicer belongs to the world of politics.
Despite Sean Spicer’s background, he proved that one must not limit themselves with what they do best and try to explore outside their norm. With that said, he will soon be a contestant on Dancing With The Stars Season 8.
Although the American dance competition television series had always been open with every kind of celebrities — from models to actors and athletes, you name it; they had been a part of the show. However, Dancing With The Stars Season 8 got a lot of backlash after the casting of Sean Spicer. Even the show’s host himself Tom Bergeron questioned the decision.
The 64-year-old television personality, comedian, and game show host took to Twitter to share a lengthy statement regarding his opinion about Sean Spicer being a part of the Dancing With The Stars Season 8 cast. A part of his post read, “It is the prerogative of the producers, in partnership with the network, to make whatever decisions they feel are in the best long term interests of the franchise to make. We can agree to disagree, as we do now, but ultimately it’s their call. I’ll let it to them to answer any further questions about those decisions.”
After learning about all the criticisms of his Dancing With The Stars Season 8 casting, Sean Spicer hits back at those harsh comments. “I’ve never really cared what they think,” Spicer said. “I’m not going to care now.”
Sean Spicer then went on to praise Tom Bergeron as a host, calling him “great.” But he noted that the show needed to bring “a diverse group of people together, who can interact in a fun, civil and respectful way.”
While many were upset that Sean Spicer is included in the Dancing With The Stars Season 8 cast, others believed that the outrage is a double standard.
Spicer will attempt to nab the trophy from other Dancing With The Stars Season 8 cast James Van Der Beek, Hannah Brown, Christie Brinkley, Karamo Brown, Kate Flannery, Kel Mitchell, Mary Wilson, Ally Brooke, Lauren Alaina, Ray Lewis, and Lamar Odom.
