Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 is gearing up for its season premiere on CBS this fall. The network has big plans to make a splash for the show's return by having a special Sunset on the Beach screening.

Set for Thursday, Sept. 19, Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 1 will be shown alongside the first episode of Magnum P.I. season 2 at the Queen's Surf Beach in Waikiki. According to reports, CBS arranged for this screening to celebrate the 10th year of the Sunset on the Beach (SOTB) event.

Aside from the screening of the two shows set in Hawaii, the event will also feature a special performance by Train. Hawaii Five-0 season 10 showrunner Peter Lenkov confirmed the event by sharing SOTB's poster on his Instagram.

The official premiere date of Hawaii Five-0 season 5 is scheduled on Friday, Sept. 27, at 8:00 p.m. Magnum P.I. will premiere season 2 in the following hour.

Meanwhile, fans can't help but wonder what's happening to Alex O'Loughlin's character, Steve McGarrett, in Hawaii Five-0 season 10. A photo of the actor with his thick facial hair has ignited a few conspiracy theories about McGarrett taking a time off from Five-0 service after he got shot in the season finale of Hawaii Five-0 season 9.

The speculations have also sparked talks that the show is setting up O'Loughlin's exit from the series with a potential retirement storyline for McGarrett. It's been rumored for years that the actor was leaving the show and will this finally happen in Hawaii Five-0 season 10?

There are also rumors that Meaghan Rath (as Tani Rey) is scaling down on her work in Hawaii Five-0 season 10 as she's going to appear in some episodes of Supergirl season 5. However, the actress herself told fans on her social media that she's not leaving the popular CBS series despite her other job.

Hawaii Five-0 has also added a new face to the team in Katrina Law who has been cast a series regular. According to TV Line, the actress will play a former Army CID staff sergeant named Quinn Liu who got a demotion. Quinn will quickly warm up with the Five-0 team on a case about veterans. Her character is described as a linguist with a deep understanding of military life.
