Ever since Meghan Markle became a part of the royal family, there were a lot of claims that she and Kate Middleton couldn’t get along. Since they work in a lot of events, official trips, foundations, and more, the Duchess of Sussex and Duchess of Cambridge’s relationship is very important.
As if the alleged issue between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle is not enough, reports claimed that the close brothers Prince William and Prince Harry became distant because of their wives. While many believed these stories are absurd, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s recent move seeming confirms their rift with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Prince William and Kate Middleton officially renamed their charity to remove Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the title. The foundation is now called, “The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.” The charity previously included the names of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
While it sounded like Prince William and Kate Middleton kicked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle off the foundation, it was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who decided to break away from it to start their charity called the Sussex Royal foundation.
Even though this recent move seemingly confirms the rift between the Cambridges and the Sussexes, sources assured that there was no feud going on. “[It was] largely about preparing both couples for their future roles, which are obviously on divergent tracks.”
While it makes a lot of sense, since Prince William is going to be the future king of England and it would be ideal for him to have his foundation, people are still leaning towards the fact that the Cambridges and the Sussexes are not getting along anymore. An earlier report claimed that the rift is more personal, alleging that Meghan Markle said that she’s a better mom than Kate Middleton.
Just like Princess Diana, Kate Middleton tries her best to make things as normal as possible for her three young children. Meghan Markle, on the other hand, is the complete opposite.
“Meghan isn’t one to mince words. So when she felt Kate wasn’t properly controlling her children, Meghan bluntly told her, ‘I’m already a better mom than you,’” a Life & Style source claimed. The tabloid ended their story by saying that the Duchess of Cambridge is not going to “forgive and forget anytime soon.”
While Prince William and Kate Middleton re-naming the foundation is true, the feud between the Cambridges and the Sussexes was never confirmed nor denied by both camps. And just like all other Royal rumors, this has to be verified.
