Is Teen Titans season 6 still happening? Fans of the show, who have been waiting patiently for the renewal for the last 10 years, believe there is renewed hope with the coming of the Teen Titans Go! crossover movie.

By September 2019, Warner Bros is releasing a direct-to-video release of the movie crossover film Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans. The movie's timeline will follow the events that took place during Teen Titans season 5.

If this video release sells well, then there could be a chance for the studio to revive Teen Titans season 6 with the original cast. Voice actress Tara Strong revealed in an interview with Bleeding Cool that they are eager to work on the follow-up if the movie crossover clicks with the fans.

"I think we really need, and the fans need, a season six," the actress who voiced Raven said.  "I think they could co-exist as proven by this film. And we all want to too.

Fans of Teen Titans have been hoping for renewal since the fifth season left a lot of plots unanswered and unresolved. However, Warner Bros. Feature Animation was undergoing a transition at that time, and the new executives did not approve the pitch for Teen Titans season 6.

"I think the Trigon/ Slade thing needs to be closed, pretty package, or not a pretty packed," Strong added, further pushing the need to do a Teen Titans season 6. "But put that chapter away and see where she and then see where she evolves to next."

Meanwhile, Teen Titans had a follow-up movie that had nothing to do with wrapping up the fifth season in Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, which was aired on September 2006. Following this, Warner Bros created the new series, Teen Titans Go!,  featuring new stories, actors and characterization, as well as a whole different vibe than the original series.

Teen Titans Go! went on for 225 episodes and it is still currently active in the Warner Bros line-up. While it started on shaky ground, because of some of the fans' loyalty to the first show, Teen Titans Go! eventually stood on its own merits and is one of the most successful shows on Cartoon Network.

It remains to be seen how the crossover film's video sales will fare. The trailer for Teen Titans Go! Vs Teen Titans has earned nearly three million views and a growing interest from the fans.
