Young Justice fans clamoring or a fourth season got their wish. DC Universe has renewed Young Justice season 4 and it has been actively in production.

Co-creator Greg Weisman confirmed during the San Diego Comic-Con event that Young Justice season 4 is happening. Weisman's partner Brandon Vietti also confirmed the renewal by posting a note to the fans on Twitter to thank them for their support and love for the show. It was because of the fans that DC decided to give Young Justice another run.

Details to the plot or theme of Young Justice season 4 are still being kept a secret. However, Screen Rant reported that the upcoming installment will be shorter than the third season.

Young Justice season 3, which is also known as Young Justice: Outsiders, recently came to end on DC Universe. According to Comic Book Resources, the finale episode with the post-credit sequences, which aired last Aug. 29, pushed boundaries and shocked fans.

One particular sequence in the Young Justice season 3 finale hinted that Lobo has developed a new superpower. It seems he could clone himself using his blood or severed body part. There's also some unfinished business that the antihero has to tackle as Young Justice season 3 ended with some loose ends in the plotlines.

Young Justice season 3 also closed with the group naming Black Lightning as the new leader of the Justice League. Following the resignation of some of the original members, they have decided that an outsider should take the lead while the rest of them take their much-needed break.

The final shot of the finale also hinted that the Legion of Super-Heroes might finally be coming to Young Justice season 4. There was a scene showing what looked like the Flight Ring, which means that Saturn Girl will definitely be in the next installment.

Young Justice debuted on Cartoon Network in 2010 and centered on six superhero teenagers who served as the sidekicks of the Justice League. Though it was a cult hit on the cable network, the show was canceled for its more mature and niche storylines.

DC Universe revived the series in 2016 for its digital streaming service. However, Young Justice season 3 did not air until January 2019 and was divided into two parts to finish this August.
