Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have always appeared to be really close. The pair’s tight bond is very evident every time they are seen together.
But, just like any other siblings, it is a given fact that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also have their share of feuds. But, according to a new report, this latest one is not just your ordinary sister fight.
New Idea claimed that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are feuding over their marriages and baby plans. The site noted that, while the sisters are very happy with their respective relationships, a royal protocol should be followed when it comes to announcing any updates about some personal news.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot in 2018. A year after their union, many are expecting that she will announce her pregnancy soon.
As for Princess Beatrice, she is, reportedly, engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and this is expected to be announced soon as well. However, the royal protocol wouldn’t allow Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to announce these exciting news almost at the same time.
“If Eugenie is pregnant it wouldn’t surprise me if Beatrice delays any announcement about her wedding until after her sister has shared her joyous news with the world,” Royal expert Phil Dampier explained. He said that the royal family always coordinates major announcements, so the members won’t “steal each other’s thunder.”
But, a New Idea source claimed that Princess Beatrice is not too happy that she has to delay the announcement of her engagement to give way for her younger sister. Pregnancy news is considered to be more time-sensitive than an engagement, which is why they are announced first.
“Beatrice is furious at Eugenie and tension is at an all-time high between the sisters, we’ve never seen them fight so badly,” the insider alleged. “But Bea just can’t let it go, she’s ropeable that she’s had to plan her wedding around Eugenie’s pregnancy announcement, as though that’s more important.”
The tipster purported that Princess Beatrice felt that this was supposed to be her big day, something that “she’s been dreaming of since she was a little girl.” However, she’s forced to keep a tight lip so Princess Eugenie will get the limelight. This, allegedly, made her really upset. So, she, allegedly, “told Eugenie just how unhappy she is and is not taking this lying down. It’s caused quite the stir in the palace.”
