The success of this popular American crime drama web television series is undeniable. Hence, it comes as no surprise that Netflix did not take much time to confirm that Narcos: Mexico Season 2 is happening. In fact, the online streaming giant revealed that show's renewal in December 2018, just a few days since the first season premiered. Now, avid followers of the series are wondering about what could transpire in the imminent second installment.

Narcos: Mexico Season 2 Plot

Little is known about the upcoming Narcos: Mexico Season 2 as of yet. However, there have been theories and speculations about the possible happenings in the imminent sequel. Reports have it that the second installment would pick up where the first season left off.

In other words, viewers would witness the happenings after the death of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agent Kiki Camarena (Michael Pena), who was captured and tortured before his death. Spoilers suggested that the Kiki's death would intensify the government's war on drugs. The good guys in DEA are, also, expected to bring justice to the murder of one of their associates in Narcos: Mexico Season 2.

"What occurred in Guadalajara gave beginning to the primary cartel. From that, others would observe. And the violence and cash and medicines, they simply fucking explode. It modified the DEA, too. Perhaps it woke us up, I don't know," Walt Breslin (Scoot McNairy) stated in the final moments of Season 1. "However it's the place the primary shot was fired, the one which began the drug conflict. And after that, none of it could be the identical," he went on. This, then, gave fans the idea of a much deepened war between the drug cartel and the United States federal law enforcement agency in Narcos: Mexico Season 2.
