The Resident Season 3 only premiered on Sept. 24, but the show is now gearing for its Halloween episode. The fall season has officially begun, and you can smell the holiday in every corner, so the show also has its spooky episode to offer.
"When Devon's (Manish Dayal) patient, who was pronounced dead, suddenly revives, Conrad (Matt Czuchry) is left doubting Devon's judgment and wondering what happened. A well-known white supremacist falls under the care of Cain (Morris Chestnut) and Nic (Emily VanCamp), causing the two to butt heads on how to move forward," The Resident Season 3 Episode 4 official synopsis read. "Meanwhile, on their way to a medical convention, The Raptor and Mina (Shaunette Renée Wilson) get stuck in a strange town, where they uncover new information about Red Rock Medical."
According to CarterMatt, the said episode would feature one of the strangest cases in Chastain's history. From the return of the dead to a strange town, everything fits the Halloween season. But of course, aside from the scare, there may be an underlying medical reason about it. Also, fans have to see the strange land AJ and Mina will be in and the controversial patients Cain and Nic have to handle.
So why does The Resident Season 3 Episode 4 will air earlier than Halloween? It may have something to do with Fox's coverage of the World Series Baseball. Hence, the network may take a hiatus at the end of October.
Meanwhile, in the premiere episode, Nic lost her sister, Jessie (Julianna Guill). Fortunately, she has Conrad (Matt Czuchry) by her side. Although the couple starts the season in a pretty good place, things may change.
In an interview with TV Insider, executive producer Todd Harthan admitted they didn't want the audience to get too comfortable to the show's plotline for too long. They opted not to give them what they want for a long period.
Knowing how the show works, Harthan revealed they like to "mix things up, keep things up, and keep people on the edge of their seats." He also promised they have "some surprises planned" for viewers. The Resident Season 3 Episode 4, "Belief System," is set to be out on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
