Fans of this BTS member are kicking off October with a warm welcome for the birth month of their idol as Jimin stans trended #HelloJimtober in different parts of the world.
According to a report by All Kpop, the Jimin-related hashtag trended No. 3 worldwide and peaked at No. 2 in Korea. #HelloJimtober also trended in 18 other countries on the strength of the BTS member's strong fanbase.
The trending topic on Twitter serves as a kickoff to a month filled with activities to celebrate Jimin's 25th birthday on October 13. Fans have already begun preparations for Jimin Fest, which will have various activities throughout the month.
According to a report, among the eight major events planned by Jimin's famous fansite MightyJ is the sponsorship of an advertisement on KakaoTalk featuring Jimin's birthday on the banner.
The birthday advertisement can be seen by every user of the KakaoTalk app as it appears on the top part of the chat section. This marked the first time fans purchased a birthday advertisement on a message application as they usually purchase slots on the subway ads. Jimin's birthday greeting will run from October 10 to his birthday on October 13.
To share their celebratory mood, fans of Jimin will also have free coffee events, hashtag trends on Twitter, charity events, and environmental advocacy events.
However, the most unique and expensive event for Jimin's birthday is the event planned by Chinese fans Jimin Bar. The fan club seeks to turn Gangnam District into a Winter Wonderland to honor the BTS idol's birthday.
According to the fansite, they will be bringing in artificial snow to the center of Gangnam in the middle of October to provide an "aesthetic and romantic experience, like Jimin's voice and dance moves."
The artificial snow will fall all day in Gangnam, which never happens naturally in the middle of October. The large scale project does not stop there. Jimin Bar also announced that there would be a wishing tree and a large air balloon birthday cake for the BTS idol at the heart of the metropolis.
This was not the first time that Chinese fans have gone all out to celebrate the birthday of a KPop idol. It can be recalled, several years ago, that EXO's Oh Sehun received a piece of land in Scotland with his very own noble title. Apart from flooding idols with luxury items, a fan of Hwang Chi Yeul gifted him with a Mercedes Benz, but the singer sent it back due to sheer extravagance.
