Just like any video game-turned-into-film or series, Castlevania received a lot of criticisms. When it first aired housing a total of four episodes, it obtained a mixed reception from the fans and critics.

The characters did not possess deep links with their identities. Also, the plot seemed off for many fans of the video game. Even so, many were still glad how it all went out. However, the first two points given were the base reasons why many did not like the pilot season.

Fans still took the chance when Castlevania Season 2 arrived. With a total of eight episodes, there were a few improvements made in the overall dynamic of the show.

Characters were improved and their identities have become more interesting since they were all given depths. The plots also progressed in terms of the twists and turns of the storylines.

In the end, fans couldn't wait to see what will happen next to Trevor. Fortunately, Castlevania was renewed even before the second season premiered. It is only a matter of time when the new season arrives on Netflix.

While improvements were evident during the second season run, other critics are still looking for more. Sadly, they can no longer wait for the show to develop further.

But, fans have remained positive despite the critics' loss of optimism towards the series. They have been charging other anime lovers to see Castlevania Season 2 and the upcoming installment to give the show another chance.

According to Energized and Salty's points on the show, Season 2 was able to pull through. It offered expansions in terms of animations and character dynamics. If fans seemingly enjoyed these points of progress, then Season 3 will be a treat

It is also noted that the show has become a "diamond in a rough" as far as video game adaptation goes. So, it is likely for the show to offer more improvements considering all the reviews and receptions that have been apparent since its arrival.

Hypable also gave its reviews toward the course of the series. Per the publication's assessments, if the production continues how they went with Season 2 and improves it further, then Season 3 will be way better than its predecessors.

There is a reason why fans are excited about the new season's arrival. Looking at this point alone is already a basis as to why anime lovers and video game fans will need to watch the upcoming season of Castlevania.
