"Apex Legends," earlier today received it's Season 3 that introduces a new recon character Crypto. Along with the new Legend, the game also got a new battle pass, map, weapon, and hop-up attachments. There are also towers and multi-story buildings that players can explore with the arrival of the game's Season 3.

The new recon character Crypto is a hacker and is one of the greatest additions in "Apex Legends" Season 3. He is a playable character but will most definitely not affect the competitive meta of the game. However, his presence in the free to play battle royale title is anticipated to create new counters for some Legends.

Crypto's abilities are linked to his drone, which he can summon using his tactical ability. The drone can mark opponents, loot crates, and even open doors and pick up respawn beacons of teammates. When summoned, his passive is activated, which allows Crypto and his teammates to identify targets pinged through the use of the drone. However, although the drone could be summoned at will, it is subject to a 40-second cooldown timer in the event that it gets destroyed by enemies in "Apex Legends."

Unlike other characters in "Apex Legends," Crypto is not ideal for players who prefer aggressive strategies. He is best used when he is concealed in the corner and utilizing his drone to give his teammates an eye overhead. His ultimate requires his drone, and without it, he has no abilities.

His ultimate delivers an EMP blast that creates 50 Shield Damage and stuns all enemies nearby. However, the blast could also affect Crypto and his teammates. The EMP is also capable of disabling traps in "Apex Legends." Additionally, the latest addition to "Apex Legends" can also be used as a second alternative for playing as a recon character.

In other words, Bloodhound will no longer continue to be the only Legend in "Apex Legends." Aside from Crypto, Respawn also introduced the World Edge map that will replace the Kings Canyon map. The new map is set on a different planet and offers different opportunities as to how the player enjoys "Apex Legends."

"Apex Legends" also gets new towers and multi-story buildings where an Octane-jump pad or a Pathfinder zipline could be very handy. A couple of new hop-ups replaced the skullpiercer and disruptor ammo while the effects of the armor and gold legendary backpacks have been altered. So far, Season 3 brings the most changes in "Apex Legends."
