"Pokemon Go" is still one of the most played mobile games for more than three years after it was officially released. While players are now busy completing the Field Research tasks in the World Tourism event, it seems that Niantic Labs is cooking something to add more fun to the popular augmented reality game. On Twitter, the official account of the mobile game teased something about a Gen 4 pokemon.

"Pokemon Go" will definitely have its usual Community Day events and raid hours. But, it seems that Niantic is preparing something more for "Pokemon Go" players if what it is teasing is true. The tease appears to be giving hints about an Electric or Ghost-type pocket monster arriving in the augmented reality game.

On its official Twitter account, "Pokemon Go" shared a cryptic post. This particular social media account is what the devs usually use to tease "Pokemon Go" players about future happenings in the popular mobile game. According to the tweet, Professor Willow has discovered a suspicious folder concealed on his computer.

While the post could mean a wide range of possibilities, the most probable would be Rotom arriving in "Pokemon Go." For those uninitiated, Rotom was introduced in Generation 4 but has evolved over time and has developed the ability to possess items like phones. "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" players have Rotem on their Pokedex.

The Gen 4 Pokemon is known to possess other items like washing machines (Wash Rotom-Water/Electric), microwave ovens ( Heat Rotom--Electric/Fire), electric fans (Fan Rotom-Flying/ Electric), lawnmowers (Mow Rotom-Grass/Electric), and refrigerators ( Frost Rotom-Ice/Electric). If the "Pokemon Go" latest tease would indeed indicate the arrival of Rotom to the game, it is most likely that it will work in the same way as Castform. The weather-based pocket monster is known to change based on the weather.

If the latest hint proves that it is Rotom, "Pokemon Go" players should anticipate its arrival in the game in the next two days. With the most recent introduction of generation 5 pocket monsters in the game, it is high time for Niantic to introduce the remaining gen 4 pocket monsters in the game as early as possible. Meanwhile, "Pokemon Go" tops the list of mobile games with the most sales in the month of August.

The feat is pretty impressive, considering that the popular augmented reality game is more than three years old. "Pokemon Go" is available on Android and iOS devices in different select regions all over the world.
