The second season of Talon's (Jessica Green) story concluded in a back-to-back episode. After the two-hour season finale, fans are now wondering if there will be The Outpost Season 3. The show's home network, The CW, has yet to renew the show. But, will there be a chance for a renewal?

The Prime Order was ready to attack in full force when it made its way to the compound. From here, it would be up to Talon to assure the Outpost would never fall. So, would it continue in the next season?

According to TV Series Finale, The CW has yet to order for The Outpost Season 3. However, fans should never be hopeless as the network has not canceled it either.

In fact, there is still a lot of hope. The CW didn't renew the show for a second season until a week after the first season finale aired. As Season 2 ended on Sept. 26, it might take the network a week or more to announce the renewal.

Will the second season's rating incite the order of The Outpost Season 3? The latest installment currently averaged a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 600,000 weekly viewers. Although the season finale boosted these numbers slightly, it was still lesser than the first season's 0.14 ratings in the demo and 628,000 average weekly viewers. These numbers are considered low.

The show's ratings are the best indication of possible renewal. The higher the ratings, of course, the longer it will stay on the air - especially in the 18-49 demo.

The Outpost is a The CW fantasy drama created by Jason Faller and Kynan Griffin. The show is led by Green, along with Jake Stormoen, Anand Desai-Barochia, Imogen Waterhouse, Robyn Malcolm, and Andrew Howard.

Its story follows Talon, the lone survivor of the Blackbloods race after an evil mercenary gang slaughtered her entire village when she was only a child. Now that Talon is all grown-up, she has acquired a mysterious power. She successfully defeated Dred's (Philip Brodie) army and retook the Outpost.

Talon, along with Gwynn (Waterhouse), are now ready to the face and fight the Prime Order. Will this continue in The Outpost Season 3? As the show is produced for Syfy's international channels and The CW is the one that licenses it, the renewal doesn't only depend on the latter network. However, there are strong assumptions that it will be renewed and fans only have to wait for the official announcement.
