After the big premiere, fans are now wondering what will happen next in the continuation of Miles' (Brandon Micheal Hall) story. In "The Lady," Cara (Violett Beane) is about to discover the real reason why she had to go to Paris.

"As Miles wonders what the God Account has in store for him, he and Rakesh (Suraj Sharma) help Joy (Jessica Lu) with her new friend suggestion, Teddy (Bryan Greenberg), an aspiring self-help guru," God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 2 official synopsis read. "Also, Cara follows a God Account-related lead in Paris, and Ali (Javicia Leslie) reveals to Arthur (Joe Morton) that she's left Harlem Episcopal for a progressive LGBTQ-friendly congregation."

Joy will play a long-term role in the second episode, and the God Squad will question why she was chosen. There will be a mystery that they will try to figure out, but as the new episode's title is pertaining to a "lady;" they will also analyze who it is.

Elsewhere, according to CarterMatt, the new season would be spending at least three episodes in and around Paris. Hence, fans are about to see the place's impact on the story after the second episode concludes.

By the end of God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 2, fans will know the connection between the God Account and Paris. Although the reason behind Cara's journey to the said country is to work on Simon's (Adam Goldberg) book, it turns out there is another cause that she is about to discover.

In the premiere episode, fans are a little worried about Cara as she is still in Paris. However, TV Insider assured she is not going anywhere and would remain as an important member of the God Squad. Here, she had discovered new things that she and the team would never know if she is still in New York.

Thanks to Simon, she managed to track down Annie (Susan Misner), her mother's friend. After learning Cara was writing a book about Simon, Annie did not want to talk to her again. However, she later apologized for her behavior.

Cara also mentioned the Facebook message Annie sent her about her mother being in New York, but the latter revealed she never sent that note. Now, Cara figured it all out that the God Account sent the message to be connected to Miles and her mother.

Cara believed her fate didn't send her to Paris only to write a book, but the God Account wanted her to be there for something bigger. God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 2, titled "The Lady," is set to be out on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
