Bravo Team is back in taking dangerous missions across the globe while the members of the Navy elite group is dealing with post-traumatic stress disorders, brain injuries, and other personal issues. SEAL Team Season 3 premiered on October 3, and the boys are back in action in Serbia.

Ahead of Season 3 premiere, lead actor David Boreanaz talked about his character, Navy SEAL Bravo Team leader Jason Hayes, and the challenges he has been dealing with since Season 2. Boreanaz said living alone when he returns home is already taking a toll on Jason.

In Season 2, Jason lost his wife, Alana, in a car crash. He raised his two children while fulfilling his duty to his country. In the finale of the second season, he sells his house to give his children a better education.

"His headspace going into these missions is like a high-octane, 650-horsepower Mustang that just roars. Down the line that affects him," Boreanaz told TVInsider.

Meanwhile, SEAL Team Season 3 kicked off with a mission in Serbia. In Episode 2, Jason will continue to lead his team on a highly classified mission in the country to track down an organization that is linked to the bombing of multiple American military outposts.

The teaser for the upcoming "Ignore and Override" episode shows Jason talking to Mandy (Jessica Paré) about his struggles. The former Bravo Team's liaison officer for the CIA reminded Jason that he has been doing the job for a long time. It looks like the talk happens after the team's mission in Serbia.

Jason is also seen in the teaser talking to someone about the change he needs to make. The synopsis for Episode 2 also hinted about something or someone from Jason's past that will return to haunt him and leaves him contemplating his future.

Speaking of Mandy, she is now joining the team on the field after she got demoted in Season 2 finale. According to showrunner John Glenn, Mandy has been retasked as an analyst and interrogator for the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. She is out in the field now to help out the Bravo team and even interrogating sources on target.

Aside from Boreanaz and Paré, other cast members who returned in Season 2 are Max Thieriot (Clay Spencer), Neil Brown Jr. (Ray Perry), AJ Buckley (Sonny Quinn), Toni Trucks (Lisa Davis), and Judd Lormand (Lt. Cdr. Eric Blackburn). The new addition to the cast are Supernatural actress Emily Swallow, Rudy Dobrev, and Bloodline actor Jamie McShane.

SEAL Team Season 3 airs Wednesday at 9/8c on CBS. Episode 2 is scheduled for release on October 9.
