The End of the F**king World season 2 is all set for a comeback after that intriguing cliffhanger. Fans yearning for answers will finally get it when the show begins airing in November 2019 on Channel 4 in the U.K. and Netflix in the U.S.
According to Digital Spy, The End of the F**king World season 2 had been filming back in March. Jessica Barden (as Alyssa) posted photos from the set to signal that production has indeed started for the dark comedy series.
In recent weeks, however, two new photos from The End of the F**king World season 2 surfaced online. One image featured Alyssa in her waitress uniform, while another photo has a new character named Bonnie (played by Naomi Ackie).
Little is known about Bonnie apart from her supposed mysterious ties to Alyssa. Bonnie, apparently, has a troubled past, which has made her an outsider in most social circles.
Missing from the promo photos for The End of the F**king World season 2, however, is James (played by Alex Lawther). Could it be that he really died in that season finale?
Viewers will recall that James and Alyssa were running away from the police during the final episode fo the first season. Shots were fired, and it seemed like one of the bullets hit James. It might also be possible, however, for James to be alive. Only, he might have been arrested, and he's now serving prison time, hence the absence from the promo photos.
After all, The End of the F**king World revolves around the intention of James, a psychopath, to kill the rebellious Alyssa. Have the police finally got wind of his original plan, even if he and Alyssa ended up bonding and falling in love? Or, could he be in prison for the death of Clive Koch in the earlier episodes?
Details surrounding the plot of The End of the F**king World season 2 are unknown. However, it might be possible for James to appeal his case, which means that the upcoming installment could revolve in his trial.
Meanwhile, according to What-On-Netflix, The End of the F**king World season 2 will air on Channel 4 first before the episodes are ready on Netflix. In the first season, the show debuted on U.K. television in October and then became accessible on Netflix internationally three months later.
