Agents Torres and Bishop are not the only ones who have a brewing romance in NCIS. Gibbs and Sloane too. In the upcoming NCIS Season 17 Episode 3, it looks like Sloane will finally find the courage to reveal her feelings for Gibbs.
Things will be both funny and romantic in Episode 3, in comparison to the first two episodes this season. The "Going Mobile" episode will be hilarious and romantic. Episode 2 was more serious and intense as it focused on Ziva's (Cote de Pablo) revenge to the person that forced her to go on hiding and her talk with Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon).
CBS dropped a teaser for NCIS Season 17 Episode 3 and shows the team investigating the death of a Marine lieutenant whose remains were found hidden under an 18-wheeler. He seems to be killed by someone using a ceramic gnome. The team needs to track the vehicle's previous locations to locate the crime scene as well as the suspect.
Meanwhile, Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) confronts Agent Jack Sloane (Maria Bello) about Gibbs. Torres is teasing Sloane that she and Gibbs have a "thing."
"Gibbs and you - we all know you have a thing," Nick tells Sloane to which she replied, "What thing?!"
It looks like Sloane will finally take action to see if she and Gibbs really have the "thing." The teaser ends in an awkward conversation between the two. Sloane looks nervous after Gibbs asks her if there's anything she'd like to talk about.
The romantic spark between Gibbs and Sloane is not something new to NCIS fans. However, this could be the first time that the two could talk about it if Sloane will do what she usually preaches to the team members: talk about your feelings.
Speaking of opening up, Sloane will also encourage Team Gibbs to sit down and talk about Ziva's recent reappearance. This may also be the reason why Sloane approaches Gibbs. Sloane and the rest of the team know that when it comes to Ziva, Gibbs has been keeping his emotions to himself.
Meanwhile, Ziva will not appear in NCIS Season 17 Episode 3 but fans may see more of her this season. De Pablo previously revealed that Ziva will appear in at least four episodes this season.
It is unclear if Ziva will return at the Navy Yard with former NCIS Agent Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). One thing is certain though, Ziva and DiNozzo have their reunion after she left Gibbs in Episode 2. NCIS Season 17 Episode 3 airs on October 8 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
