Fans are now excited for The 100 Season 7, as this will be the show's final bow. As a lot are expected to happen in the last and final showdown, will Murphy (Richard Harmon) play a big role this time?
Murphy may have a big arc in the final installment after he refused the Primes. He is a part of the original 100, managed to survive six seasons, and faced different dangers. Although the previous season was the hardest for him, showrunner Jason Rothenberg said, via Express, he never fully went dark and chose to do the right thing.
He always thinks whatever he's doing. Even though he almost accepts Rrime's offer, he weighs up what is best for his friends. Hence, he decides not to join the group when he learns Clarke (Eliza Taylor) is still alive.
So, in The 100 Season 7, Murphy may deal with the last conflict that involves the Anomaly. Rothenberg already revealed this entity would be the main part of the final season, and Murphy might have something to do with it. Murphy might also continue dealing with the Primes in the new season after what he learned.
As he is one of the original 100, he will surely have a big story arc that will adequately close his storyline to tie all the loose ends. Fans may once again see his moral compass going askew as it finds the right way between the good and the bad, and the light and the dark.
Meanwhile, talking about the ending, Rothenberg told TV Line he already had a specific conclusion in mind for The 100 Season 7. He hopes fans will be satisfied with what's coming, as he himself is pleased with the closure, describing it to be a "pretty powerful, emotional ending."
The final season will exactly pick up where the previous installment ended. Hence, there will be no time jump, as Bellamy (Bob Morley) is desperate to know what happened to his sister. There will also be no time travel, although time will be acting funny this time, and the new season will explain why.
The CW has yet to announce when The 100 Season 7 will be out, but it is expected for release in 2020. It will be once again seen at the mid-season, just like the previous installments as the network may keep it as a summer show. So, there is a big possiblity it will be dropped in April of the said year.
