Theories continue to drop for Altered Carbon Season 2. While no confirmations have been made yet, fans are seemingly fixed on speculating things about the upcoming plot. It's only fitting though, given that the show, along with its cast and heads, is pretty tight in terms of keeping the show's plot in secrecy.
Previous reports have claimed that the new season will continue to follow the novel series of the same title. With the second season now in development, it has been revealed that the plot will reflect on the events of the second book titled, Broken Angels.
Screen Rant recently released a list of plot predictions that are based on the events of the books. While deviations are expected, fans' interests are captured when Quell and Poe are discussed.
Altered Carbon Season 1 introduced these characters with no expectations at all. Quell, or Quellcrist Falconer, was first seen in the Takeshi Novac's flashback stories. She has been long dead in his "memories," which later on revealed that she was the creator of the Stack technology all along. It has also been revealed who and what killed her.
It is worth noting that Quell did not appear in the books until the third installment. So, this part is already a huge deviation on the overall plot of Altered Carbon.
In the case of Poe, he was last seen in the pilot season, giving out his last "virtual breath." Many fans were surprised by this "demise," considering that he is one of the show's fan-favorite characters.
Quell, and Poe's deaths are huge "explosions" in the course of the show. Many fans are sad that these characters were not given long exposures in the pilot run. However, the tone of the fans is now changing as TV Guide confirms that these characters will be "resurrected" for the new season.
According to the publication, the heads and bosses of the series have already revealed that Quell and Poe will be back to continue their storylines. It's not yet revealed though how this will happen. Even so, theories and speculations about the matter have become more apparent recently.
As per the general reception, Quell will be resurrected when Takeshi Novak finds a new sleeve upon learning that her cortical stack has been backed up. Hence, it will not take time for Novak to reunite with her.
On Poe's part, fans are convinced that his resurrection will be much easier than Quell's. Given that he is an A.I. hologram, it's not surprising at all if his "back up" is quite easy to find.
So far, these are the only details that have been shared about the fan-favorite characters. Since there is still no confirmed release date yet for Altered Carbon Season 2, fans may expect more theories and speculations to drop in the coming weeks.
