Warning: This article contains spoilers for NCIS Season 17 Episode 4 that may spoil your enjoyment in discovering its plotlines. Read at your own risk.

Team Gibbs will look into a bizarre crime scene at Arlington National Cemetery that will lead them to an emotional case to all the agents. Meanwhile, Director Vance is not yet done with Agents Tim McGee, Ellie Bishop, and Nick Torres in NCIS Season 17 Episode 4.

Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team will be called in at Arlington National Cemetery to investigate a severed foot. The teaser for Episode 4, fittingly titled "Someone Else's Shoes," shows a horse running around the cemetery with a cut-off foot on his back.

The NCIS investigation will lead them to a string of attacks on homeless veterans. When Palmer (Brian Dietzen) asks Gibbs on who targets the veterans, Gibbs said it could be someone who will benefit from it.

It can also be noticed in the teaser that the case caught the attention of the media. The clip shows the members of the press hovering in the air and on the ground. As NCIS fans would know, Gibbs is not a media-friendly person. This would definitely make Gibbs more pissed that someone is targeting the veterans.

The media attention could be because someone seems to be cutting off feet of veterans or because the issue about homeless veterans is a huge concern in the country today. Either way, Gibbs will never stop until they find who is behind the attack and who is taking advantage of his fellow veteran.

In one of the photos for Episode 4 shared by SpoilerTV, Gibbs and McGee (Sean Murray) are seen talking to what seems to be members of a charity group that helps homeless veterans. In some images, Agent Sloane (Maria Bello) is also seen with Gibbs talking to some retired soldiers.

Meanwhile, Agents McGee, Bishop (Emily Wickersham), and Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) should know by now that they should never hide information from Director Leon Vance. Clearly, the director is not taking it lightly and will continue to punish the three for withholding information about former agent Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) that also forced him to make off-the-books decisions.

In the previous episode, Vance is concerned about his agents' morale following the sudden appearance and again, disappearance of Ziva. He ordered Sloane to evaluate everyone including Gibbs.

The evaluation went well. In fact, Gibbs opened up about why he did not look Ziva after the attack on her family's house in Israel. Gibbs admitted to Sloane about his shortcomings for not verifying if Ziva was indeed killed in the blast.

He also confessed that it is bothering him that Ziva disappears again. Sloane advised her as a mother and a friend to let Ziva go wherever she wants to go.

In the upcoming episode, Vance will task McGee, Bishop, and Torres on a cleanup duty at the evidence garage. There could be a twist in next week's story at the file of evidence at the garage.

"It's about to get more unusual," Torres tells his teammates while carrying a box of evidence from the garage.

The team usually finds a missing piece that will help their investigation in secondary stories such as this. NCIS Season 17 Episode 4 airs on October 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
