Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's marriage is rumored to be on the rocks, and the singer reportedly issued an ultimatum to his wife to quit her career. Urban is reportedly asked her wife to make sacrifices for her family.

According to Australia-based weekly magazine New Idea, the couple's friends fear that Urban and Kidman are heading to splitsville because of the actress' busy schedule. The publication cited a source as saying that Urban asked her wife to quit acting and spend more time with him and their children instead. The couple shares two daughters.

The tension between the couple, allegedly, started when they attended the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean recently. After Urban's ultimatum, the Lion actress reportedly decided not to take any more projects for the time being so she could spend time with her family in their home in Nashville.

The couple is not expected to respond to rumors such as this as Urban has already said in the past they have already learned how to ignore ridiculous speculations about their marriage. The singer said he and his wife have been married for 13 years now that even their friends and family have known not to believe in rumors about them.

"They know. Everybody knows us. I particularly laugh when they go, 'An inside source,' because anyone who's close to us knows how bulls**t that is," he told Entertainment Tonight in an interview in September 2018.

This is not the first time that it was alleged that the Grammy-winner country crooner gave an "ultimatum" to his wife about her career. In 2017, OK! Magazine also wrote an article that claimed Urban issued an ultimatum to Kidman to choose between her family or movies.

"Keith is fed up with Nicole parading him around from one red carpet to the next," the publication cited a source as saying.

At the time, Gossip Cop debunked the rumors stating that there is no reason for Urban to ask his wife to put her career behind and focus on her marriage because Kidman only travels, most of the time within the states, for work while Urbans travels the world because of his tours.

Kidman's latest projects, such as HBO's Big Little Lies and the movie, The Goldfinch, were both a success. She will appear next in the movie Bombshell, which is scheduled for release later this year. Kidman will also star in HBO's miniseries The Undoing alongside Hugh Grant, and it is expected to air in April 2020.

Additionally, Kidman is expected to start filming Ryan Murphy's The Prom this year. The Moulin Rouge actress joined the star-studded cast of the TV series that includes Meryl Streep and Kerry Washington.
