While they're busy promoting their Feel Special EP, TWICE members are sharing the challenges of becoming a successful Kpop act. In an interview with TIME, Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu opened up about having to go on tour without their member Mina.
"This was the first concert without Mina, only eight members participated, and I really felt a lot of emptiness," TWICE's Jihyo said in the interview.
JYP Entertainment earlier announced Mina will not be participating in promotional activities and concerts for the Feel Special comeback to focus on her mental health and recovery. Mina had to sit out TWICE's activities due to anxiety.
During the interview, TWICE also shared the more personal meaning of their new song, which was written and produced by JYP Entertainment CEO JY Park. The song encourages listeners to shift their perspective from feeling insignificant to finding their purpose.
"Not only limited to releasing albums or doing performances, we want to deliver the message. We want to give people positive energy and we also want to comfort people," TWICE Nayeon said.
Apart from actively promoting for their Feel Special comeback, TWICE is also gearing for the release of their new Japanese album entitled Fake & True on November 20. This is the second full Japanese album for the idol group and carries 10 songs including the title track Fake & True, Stronger, Breakthrough, Changing!, HAPPY HAPPY, What You Waiting For, Be OK, POLISH, How u doin and The Reason Why, All Kpop reported.
