The British monarchy, especially Queen Elizabeth II, has stayed above politics in the last 67 years of her reign. From her first Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, to the fourteenth, Boris Johnson, this has been the standard.

However, things are now changing. It looks like that the Queen has been dragged to the apparent politics of Brexit.

According to Macleans Canada, almost all "constitutional experts" are blaming the current Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, for influencing the queen's decisions over the issue. Also, it was pointed out that the Supreme Court notes the queen's actions were executed based on Johnson's advice.

Even so, this still puts the queen in the spotlight. As per some royal correspondents, it might now the time for her to step in the light of politics.

These correspondents also believe that she needs to speak now despite the fact that her position is "dependent" on staying behind politics. It is all because the British monarchy might end for good when Britain finally exits the European Union or the Brexit.

The general perception about the issue is quite "mixed." This brings great "division" among the population. It has also been stressed out that, even when Britain successfully exits the union, there is no assurance that the kingdom will remain united.

The publication further asserted that monarchs have one ultimate goal in deeming a reign as successful: to leave the crown in a much stronger position for the successors.

But, with the division and confusion that are currently happening because of politics, this might not be possible for Queen Elizabeth II's reign. In the end, this might result in the ultimate abolishment of the British monarchy for good.

A similar scoop was also released by Express UK. Although Brexit remains to be the main point of the "existential threat" to the monarchy, TV commentator Kevin Maguire suggested for Queen Elizabeth II to "end the monarchy."

As per his statements, this is the most suitable action that she must do instead of following "protocol" and the "status quo" of passing the crown. He also explained that the whole monarchy is just a "farce" in reality. Maguire further claimed that Britain must follow France's "road" to "republic."

While the division is quite apparent recently in the heart of Brexit, along with other existential threats to the monarchyCheat Sheet claims that the royal family isn't going anywhere. With the historians' assertions, it has been established that Queen Elizabeth II won't be the last monarchy, yet.
