When Meghan Markle tied the knot with Prince Harry and joined the British royal family, many are expecting that she and sister-in-law Kate Middleton will be best friends. Apparently, based on reports, this is not the case. In the case of the two royal wives, they may be friends but not BFFs since Kate has her very own "soul sister" in the royal family.
Body language expert Alison Ward told Express.co.uk that Kate is very close to her husband's cousin, Zara Tindall, than to Harry's wife, Meghan. Ward analyzed a video of Kate and Zara together and concluded that the two have a "natural friendship" and have a "mutual love" for one another.
"Look at them when they greet each other; their eyes look directly into each other. A great signal of mutual love and acceptance. Their smiles are broad and not forced," Ward said about the clip of the two during the Royal Ascot in June.
During the event, the two royals were photographed chatting and laughing together. Ward also pointed out that Kate and Zara have a connection that goes beyond their family duty.
Though the two have different levels of royal duties, they actually have a lot in common. Kate, 37, and Zara, 38, are close in age and comfortable in each other's company. There is no clear competition between the two. While Kate is busy juggling her schedules, Zara is not a working royal.
Zara is the daughter of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips and the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II. Prince William and Kate's children also have a close relationship with Zara and her husband, Mike Tindall.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Tindalls were previously spotted together where Prince George was seen resting on Mike's shoulder while Zara's daughter was on William's shoulder. Prince George and Zara were also spotted giving each other high-fives and hugging one another.
Their children are also close in age too. Kate and Zara's youngest kids, Prince Louis and Lena, respectively, are about the same age. Mia Tindall, on the other hand, is between Princess Charlotte and Prince George's age. Mike Tindall previously said he hopes that their kids will keep their friendship as they grow older.
Meanwhile, according to the royal author and editor Ingrid Seward, Kate is not the only one who admires the Tindalls. Apparently, Queen Elizabeth II is also a fan of Zara and Mike Tindall. The couple is always praised for being down-to-earth people despite their societal status.
Additionally, the Queen admires Zara for her accomplishments. Princess Anne's daughter is an equestrian and Olympian. She won the Eventing World Championship in Aachen in 2006.
