Empire season 6 episode 4 aired on FOX on Oct. 15 and a lot of things happened within this episode, titled "Tell The Truth." A happy family reunion brought the Lyon family back together. Cookie considered seeking help as she reached her breaking point, while Andre encouraged Tiana to set things right over the controversy she cheated on the company.
In Empire season 6 episode 4, the Lyons went at the baby Walkers christening. They gathered at the church, but Lucious excused himself and said he had some business to handle with Damon. At the parking lot, the two were holding guns drawn at each other and compromised to leave each other's families alone.
Meanwhile, one of Cookie's co-hosts talked about Cookie and Lucious' relationship, saying he left her for the nanny. Cookie's publicist, however, asked her to make an apology. But, then, she refused to do so and said she had to attend therapy
Andre, on the other hand, asked Tiana to clear her statement about her stance on pro-life. He insisted that it would detail her career, but Tiana didn't listen to him. Meanwhile, Becky and Giselle asked Tiana if she's interested in appearing as a guest star on the Lala song.
She declined the offer and told them Andre would not agree unless she clears up her statement. Still, Giselle and Becky went to meet Ande and asked him to allow Tiana to do the collab. But, he refused and told them no Empire artist will work with them.
Perhaps, the most important scene in Empire season 6 episode 4 was Cookie's flash-forward scene. She reconsidered going to therapy to seek help and opened up to her therapist. However, things looked odd and crazy nine months in the future, as she was seen leaving the mansion and climbing into a black car, which then exploded.
It looks like Cookie was inside of the vehicle, and if that's indeed true, it's very unlikely the character survived the explosion. The question is: who did this to her? Cookie has made a fair share of enemies during Empire's run, so one of her enemies possibly plotted the car explosion.
But, is she really dead, though? While it looks like Cookie blew up in the car, it's also worth noting she dropped her keys and searched for them, then she paused and the scene jumped into the explosion. There are also speculations her therapy may have caused her to get "caught napping," and everything was just a dream.
