EVIL Episode 5 is set to be the show's Halloween Special. As per reports, the upcoming installment will be much darker than the previous ones, which are all deemed very creepy and dark by critics.
As seen in the latest episode titled, Rose 390, the events that happened with Kristen and David were far from normal and ordinary.
WARNING: This contains spoilers for Evil Episode 4.
The episode started with the McCrystals. The parents of the 9-year-old Eric asked Kristen and David for help as they believed that a demon possesses him.
Kristen and David, then, assessed the child and somehow concluded that he is not possessed. Rather, he is exhibiting the common symptoms of psychopathic behavior.
In the process, Eric and David were able to establish ties with each other. And Eric began to show improvements after. However, things took a huge turn when David found him trying to drown his infant sister.
The church approved them of an emergency exorcism. But, it was too late as the McCrystals already murdered their son. And this left David and Kristen in huge guilt.
According to Indie Wire, the episode has allowed Evil to become the darkest show on television today. And with the current dynamic that they are going with, many are convinced that the show is just giving the foretaste on how far more they can go.
With these thoughts at hand, it makes the horror movie-fans more eager to witness the upcoming Halloween Special. No trailer has been released yet. Even so, Cartermatt provided a quick sneak peek to the episode.
Based on the published synopsis, Evil Episode 5 will go, once more, with exorcism. As Kristen and David will be sent to "assess" the situation, they will try to determine whether this is another case of demonic possession or severe mental condition.
It has also been established that the person involved in the case are showing signs of physical and mental distress. Hence, a lot of people are already convinced that the episode will be, yet again, disturbing.
On another note, Ben and Vanessa will "debunk" the supernatural finds of their favorite show, Demon Hunters, which may also result in another case for Kristen in the episode.
Evil Episode 5 is titled October 31. However, the Halloween Special episode will not air on the titular date. It will arrive, though, on a much earlier week, on October 24, on CBS.
There will be no new episode of Evil a week after as well. The show will continue with its course on November 7.
