When NCIS season 17 episode 6 arrives, we're going to meet someone from Kasie Hines' past, named Dante Brown. However, the question now is, what would be his role in the upcoming episode, titled "Institutionalized"?
According to the synopsis of NCIS season 17 episode 6, the life-long best friend of Kasie, Dante (Devale Ellis), becomes a suspect after a petty officer's son was murdered at his "welcome home from prison" party.
Dante will, perhaps, play a huge role in the upcoming episode, especially since he's someone close to one of the characters. But, one of the most important questions in this episode is: why would they accuse Dante of murder? Is he also related to the petty officer's son?
The murder will likely lead to Kasie asking questions, which could also reveal several things between her and Danny from the past. NCIS season 17 episode 6 will also be the biggest episode of Diona Reasonover's character this season since she's stepping outside the lab and will work on other places.
Some photos showed she's visiting Dante in prison -- possibly talking about the murder case. Kasie will likely help her long-time friend or, at least, try to do some digging to find out what happened at the party, and whether her friend is innocent or not.
The upcoming episode will also be a variation of classic crime-TV trope; a friend or a relative of one of the main characters is in trouble and it's up to them to either clear their name or just ignore it. But still, there are some other reasons why this episode could be different.
For instance, we don't know Dante and what was he like in the past. We don't know if he had criminal records before, and it's unclear why he became the suspect. So, his role in this episode is unknown, aside from the fact that he's one of Kasie's closest friends.
In addition to that, we don't also know whether or not Kasie could help his since she's not an NCIS agent. It's possible she could investigate the case herself. But, what she can and can't do is still going to be limited. She needs some help on some of her fellow agents to get to the bottom and find out everything that transpires, which could lead to solving Dante's case.
NCIS season 17 episode 6 will air on Tuesday, November 5, on CBS.
