The Good Doctor Season 3 will have a short break and will be back after Halloween. Once they do, the cast has prepared something exciting for their fans in the upcoming The Good Doctor Season 3 Episode 6.

Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) is in danger of losing his residency at the San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital after kicking a nurse out of his ER. In the teaser for Episode 6, Shaun is performing surgery when he asks a nurse to hand him a clamp.

The problem is, according to Shaun, the nurse hands him the instrument the wrong way. Shaun tells the nurse of her mistake and asks her to get out of his ER.

Towards the end of the sneak peek, Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) confronts Shaun about the incident during his surgery. The Chief of Surgery is seen warning Shaun that, if it happens again, it will be the end of his residency at the hospital.

Dr. Lim has been very patient and lenient of Shaun since the beginning. She probably realizes what Dr. Marcus Andrews (Hill Harper) had said in the past that they cannot continue to coddle Shaun. She, perhaps, decided to treat Shaun like a normal adult doctor and reprimand him for his mistakes.

Shaun could be a little edgy at the ER probably because it is his second chance for a first solo surgery. In the previous episode, he had an opportunity to have his first solo surgery, but he back down once a better option was presented to the patient.

What happened between Shaun and Dr. Carly Lever (Jasika Nicole) in the previous episode could also be a contributing factor as to why Dr. Murphy is a little tense at the ER. In The Good Doctor Season 3 Episode 5, the autistic surgical doctor took his relationship with Carly to the next level.

Meanwhile, Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) and Audrey will also disagree on a risky surgery in Episode 6. This is not the first Melendez and Lim's showdown. Both are highly skilled surgeons and they always clashes but, in the end, they always succeed when they work together.

The synopsis for The Good Doctor Season 3 Episode 6 also noted that Dr. Claire Brown (Antonia Thomas) spirals into self-destructive behaviors. These will have a negative effect on her workplace. It looks like Shaun is not the only one who will receive a warning in the upcoming episode. The Good Doctor Season 3 Episode 6 will return on November 4 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
