Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow appeared together in the 1991 movie, Hook. Since then, they have been good friends. However, a rumor made one year ago claimed that the two actresses had a feud, involving Paltrow's ex, Chris Martin.

A gossip website claimed, a year ago, that Paltrow hated Roberts for hanging out with Martin. At the time, the Pretty Woman star went to a party in Los Angeles arranged by the Coldplay vocalist and girlfriend Dakota Johnson. This, allegedly, made the Iron Man actress mad as her friend seemed to side on her ex after their divorce.

Gossip Cop debunked the questionable article. Paltrow's spokesperson even said it was a nonsense story. The report didn't even consider that the 47-year-old actress and Martin are on excellent terms and are friends.

In an earlier interview, she even said that she considered him like a brother. Paltrow and husband Brad Falchuk also had a double date with Martin and his girlfriend in the Hamptons, proving they all have a good relationship.

It is also not true that Roberts sided with Martin as the former couple didn't form sides in their divorce. After the malicious article emerged, 51-year-old iconic actress guest-starred on Paltrow's Goop podcast. Here, they shared a fun conversation and showed their close friendship to everyone.

Also, to prove that they have been friends for a long time, Roberts shared a throwback photo of them on Instagram before. In the snap, they could be considered as sisters as they looked very identical. They have an uncanny resemblance to each other, aside from both wearing black sweaters and blonde hair pulled back in half-ponytails.

The photo was taken at the time they were doing Hook, where Roberts played Tinkerbell and Paltrow portrayed as the young Wendy Darling. "Julia was super sweet to the cast backstage and so, so approachable and warm," a source told People. "Usually backstage meet and greets are quick, but Julia spent extensive time chatting with everyone and complimenting their performances."

The two have remained close over the years. Roberts even attended Paltrow and Falchuk's black-tie engagement party in Los Angeles before. At the time, Daniel Moder's spouse was wearing a sparkling black dress paired with black heels and a red purse. The then-soon-to-be-bride was donning a one-shoulder maroon gown styled with a thigh-high slit. Evidently, there is no bad blood or even a feud between the two.
