MOMOLAND Nancy has her Instagram account back. The K-pop singer announced that they were able to regain control of her account after it was hacked on Thursday.

Nancy took to Twitter to announce the good news to MOMOLAND fans, also called the Merries, that she is officially back on IG. MOMOLAND's agency earlier confirmed the hacking incident on Nancy's Instagram account. MLD Entertainment announced that they deactivated the account to prevent further damage to their artist.

The agency said they seek help from Instagram and the police cybercrime investigation unit to recover Nancy's account. However, the hacker is still creating damage to Nancy. Hence, they were forced to delete the singer's social media account.

MDL claimed that, after the unauthorized intrusion on Nancy's IG, the hacker created another account using the exact ID details and pretends to be Nancy to the singer's fans. The agency vowed to protect their talent and take legal action against the hacker.

The hacking incident came just a couple of days after Nancy, along with her fellow MOMOLAND members, launched their individual Instagram account. Nancy took to Twitter to inform her fans that her IG account has been hacked. In her tweet, the Korean singer said they are trying to recover the account and asked her fans to be patient.

Nancy's IG has been reactivated on Friday. The 19-year-old singer thanked their fans for their support.

"Its Nancy again! I got my Instagram account back. Thank you Merries for your support it really made my day," she tweeted

Meanwhile, Nancy is about to make her acting debut in a TV series the Philippines opposite Filipino actor James Reid. The series, titled Soulmate, is expected to be released in January 2020.

During a press conference for the show earlier this month, the Korean singer said making a TV drama is totally new to her, more so that it will be filmed in a different country and she will also learn a new culture. Nonetheless, Nancy is excited to take another challenge in her career.

Nancy and her fellow MOMOLAND bandmates gained popularity through their hit song "BBoom BBoom" from their third EP, Great!. It was released in January 2018. They made a comeback in March with a new mini-album, Show Me, and its title track "I'm So Hot."

The seven-member group also dropped their Japanese album Chiri Chiri in September. However, members Daisy, Taeha, and Yeonwoo did not participate in the production and promotions of the album.
