The crew of Firehouse 51 will be dealing with a deadly blaze and an old woman in next week's Chicago Fire Season 8 Episode 6. That sounds easy but Severide and Cruz don't think so. Meanwhile, the team will also receive some good news to celebrate.
The crew will respond to a fire call in a nice neighborhood. The person involved in the incident is an old woman who claimed to fall asleep while cooking. Hard to blame the old lady right? No.
The fire becomes deadly and may have caused the life of a resident or a firefighter. In the teaser for Chicago Fire Season 8 Episode 6, Firehouse 51 Captain Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) orders a rookie firefighter to just check the back of the house but don't ever go inside.
The young firefighter, however, plays hero when a young boy tells him that his family is still inside the burning house. As soon as he enters the house, an explosion knocks him on the ground.
When the house fire has been extinguished and the investigation started, Cruz (Joe Minoso) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) smell something odd about the old lady. It looks like the elderly woman is not innocent after all.
The synopsis for Chicago Fire Season 8 Episode 6 hinted that she could be involved in some scandalous or shady activity that started the fire. Whatever that is, the crew will find out what went wrong in that house.
Meanwhile, the ladies of Firehouse 51 want some changes in their workplace. Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), Foster (Annie Ilonzeh), and Brett (Kara Killmer) will bond to create a women-only lounge at the fire station. The three might probably felt the need for some privacy from their hunky colleagues.
Finally, it's about time the team will hear some good news. The team needs some good news right about now especially after the death of Firefighter Brian "Otis" Zvonecek (Yuri Sardarov) earlier this season.
Cruz, in particular, needs some good news after Otis died at the hospital with him at his bedside. Then, he and his girlfriend Chloe broke up during the crossover.
It turned out that Chloe broke up with Cruz because of fear of losing him like what happened to Otis. After Brett's intervention, Chloe realized that Cruz is indeed one in a billion and letting him go is a crazy idea.
The good news came to Cruz in the previous episode. He got the chance to finally bend down on his knees and proposed to Chloe. He asked her to marry him and Chloe said yes.
Find out what the other good news that is worth celebrating for in the upcoming Chicago Fire Season 8 Episode 6. It will air on October 30 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
