Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts worked together in the 2016 movie Mother's Day. The famous leading ladies of the entertainment world are believed to be good friends since then. However, rumors claimed that they had a fight that divided Hollywood.

A year ago, a tabloid made a phony story about Aniston and Roberts' supposed feud. Allegedly, this rift got so worse that their famous Hollywood friends had to choose sides. So, what caused the fight?

According to the purported magazine, it had something to do with the two's TV series, Robert's Homecoming on Amazon and Anniston's The Morning Show on Apple TV+. The stars were, reportedly, competing which among their shows was a big hit.

The magazine's source even contended that their rift became "awkward for all of their mutual friends" like Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Reese Witherspoon. These three were said to be on Aniston's side because they felt like they had no other choice.

However, George Clooney picked to side on Roberts' because they have "stronger" friendship. Meryl Streep was also said to be on the Pretty Woman actress' team. Is there any truth in this story?

Gossip Cop debunked this issue, explaining it is quite impossible for their two shows to compete with each other. Roberts' Homecoming aired in November last year, while Aniston's The Morning Show would only be out next month. There was a full year gap between the shows' air time.

Aniston's spokesperson even denied the news, calling the feud rumors "nonsense." Justin Theroux's ex and Roberts even attended InStyle Awards together, which confirmed they were on good terms.

E! News even noted that the two A-listers spent a lot of time with each other during the show. They were also seen having some fun while talking during the intermission.

In addition, Aniston referenced Roberts' famous line from the 1997 rom-com movie Notting Hill when she shared a behind-the-scenes snap of her photoshoot with Variety on Instagram. "I'm just a girl....standing with hair and makeup. A stylist. A photographer. A lighting crew, wind machine, props, and a computer .... asking you to think I woke up like this," she captioned the photo.

Aniston was wearing a white sweatshirt without pants while holding a hat as her stylists were fixing her looks. The famed Friends star broke a record when she joined Instagram on Oct. 15. In just five hours and 16 minutes, she already had 1 million followers. It even caused technical issues to the social media platform.
