WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Legacies season 2 episode 5. Read at your own risk.
Legacies season 2 episode 5 is still a few weeks away, but this episode will bring some nostalgic feelings as the Salvatore School prepares for an '80s-themed decade dance. Titled "Screw Endgame," this episode will likely follow The Vampire Diaries' famous dances, as the synopsis suggests such an event is coming at the Salvatore School.
The '80s-themed decade dance in Legacies season 2 episode 5 might be familiar to some The Vampire Diaries fans, and it is something that brings enjoyment and chaos. Decade dances in the show somewhat bring fun to some characters, but it eventually leads to bloodshed and magical mayhem. So, the '80s-themed decade dance in "Screw Endgame" could probably feature enjoyment and chaos as well.
The last time Mystic Falls High had '80s-themed decade dance was when Rebekah Mikaelson planned it, and the mayor eventually canceled it as many people mysteriously died. Hence, a similar scenario may happen in Legacies season 2 episode 5 -- or could be something worse. Meanwhile, this episode could also mean a lot of relationship dramas coming up.
For instance, Landon and Josie will decide whether or not they should take their relationship to the next level. Also, Lizzie has feelings for Sebastian, while MG has feelings for Lizzie. Everything gets complicated when MG asked Kaleb for advice on what to do about Sebastian. But aside from the relationship dramas, Hope and Lizzie are still trapped inside a never-ending labyrinth with a monster on their trail.
In another related report, Thomas Doherty shared why Legacies season 2 episode 5 is important to his character, Sebastian. The actor's character is a new vampire, but there are still a lot of mysteries as to who he is. We know that Sebastian's wardrobe hints he's old. Also, he already met Lizzie and his smirks hint he likes her.
In an interview with the Entertainment Weekly, Doherty told the outlet that in the fifth episode, everything about Sebastian would unfold -- including where he came from and his whole backstory. The character is not just a "sexy vampire" and someone who walked into the universe that started more than 10 years ago. In "Screw Endgame," the actor noted it is an episode where we'll finally learn his character's story.
Legacies season 2 episode 5 will air on Thursday, November 14, on The CW. This episode is directed by Barbara Brown and written by Thomas Brandon and Brett Matthews.
