BoJack Horseman has officially returned for its sixth and final season. The first eight episodes of BoJack Horseman Season 6 is now available on Netflix while the final half will hit the small screen next year.

The streaming giant split BoJack Horseman Season 6 into two parts. Part 1 premiered on Oct. 25 while the second half will be released early next year. It will have 16 episodes in total.

Actor Will Arnett returned as the lead character BoJack, the anti-hero, alcoholic, washed-up actor who also happens to be an anthropomorphic horse. Aside from Arnett, other main cast members such as Mad Men actress Alison Brie and Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul also reprised their respective roles. Brie plays BoJack's s one-time love interest and ghostwriter Diane while Paul portrays BoJack's asexual best friend Todd.

As expected, Season 6 opened with a little bit of drama, yet still funny. BoJack is in a rehab where he struggles with memories of Sarah Lynn's death, his troubled childhood, and what he has done in his career.

Viewers could recall that Season 5 ended with Diane dropping BoJack off at a rehab clinic following the incident on the set of his new TV series. The actor nearly strangled his co-star and girlfriend Gina to death.

But, to BoJack dismay, he only had a short stint at the rehab. Once he's out, he will travel around the country, hoping to reconnect with his loved ones. BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, previously, teased that the self-loathing alcoholic horse is "inching towards redemption" this season.

In the upcoming BoJack Horseman Season 6 Part 2, BoJack is expected to continue with his recovery. He might come clean about his role in Sarah Lynn's untimely death. It could get traumatic for the character and could make him spiral down to his old habit yet again.

The first half of the final season also featured the aftermath of Princess Carolyn's (Amy Sedaris) child adoption. She struggles to balance the pressure at work and the demands of being a new parent.

Elsewhere, Diane decided to move to Chicago. In there, she wrestles with the writer's block. In the upcoming second part of the final season, she might return for BoJack as he tries to redeem himself.

Meanwhile, Mr. Peanutbutter's (Paul F Tompkins) planned wedding proposal to Pickles (Julia Chan) met a major bump. Todd, as expected of him, planned a surprise wedding for Mr. Peanutbutter and Prickles.

Just as the couple's friends and family are about to pop up the surprise, Mr. Peanutbutter decided to tell Pickles that he cheated on her. The wedding has been called off and Mr. Peanutbutter decided to embark on his own tour amidst depression.

BoJack Horseman Season 6 Part 1 is streaming now on Netflix. Part 2 will also be available via Netflix starting on Jan. 31, 2020.
