#EXOISCOMING has risen to the No. 1 trending topic worldwide on Twitter after SM Entertainment finally confirmed EXO's upcoming comeback.
According to a report by All Kpop, SM Entertainment confirmed rumors that EXO will stage a comeback but refrained from committing specific details of the album.
"It's true that EXO are preparing for their new full album. We will announce a specific release schedule soon," SM announced to fans.
While the agency has not yet released the actual date of the comeback, fans are already speculating that it will happen sometime between November 25 and 30.
EXO's Kai earlier shared news about EXO's comeback when the media interviewed him for SuperM promotions. It can be recalled that EXO's Kai and Baekhyun were, recently, tapped to become members of the new idol group, which debuted early this month in the US.
Kai assured fans that he and Baekhyun would continue to do their best as members of both EXO and SuperM. He said that the activities of the two groups would not be disrupted.
Fans have earlier raised apprehension about possible conflicts in schedules because of Kai and Baekhyun's participation in SuperM. These concerns were further amplified by Xiumin and D.O.'s military enlistment, which has rendered EXO short of two active members.
EXO's Lay is also busy with promotions in China, leaving only Suho, Chanyeol, Sehun, Chen, Baekhyun, and Kai to take on the reins from members who are on hiatus.
It comes as no surprise that EXO-Ls are clamoring for a comeback. EXO's last full albums were Don't Mess Up My Tempo and Love Shot which were both released last year.
While EXO remained active in performing as a group, EXO members have been more focused on their solo releases this year. Chen released his first EP, April, and a Flower in April this year and followed up with Dear My Dear last October 1.
Baekhyun also released his solo album City Lights where the talented vocalist showed off his impressive range in the song UN Village.
The two members who embarked on their mandatory enlistment this year also surprised fans with solo releases. Xiumin released his first debut single You, after entering the military. D.O. also released a solo track which he co-wrote as a parting gift for fans before he reported for mandatory service last July.
EXO-SC, composed of Chanyeol and Sehun, also released What a Lie with a total of six songs.
